KOWA Introduces the Prominar Telephoto Lens
In the outdoor world, cross utilization of essentials can be paramount, especially when the situation dictates minimizing your load. Kowa introduces the Prominar 500mm F5.6FL Telephoto Lens/Scope. Its two-in-one high performance camera lens and spotting scope guarantees the perfect visual every time. The fluorite crystal lens minimizes chromatic aberration (color blur) that occurs in most long focal length lenses. Change the standard 500mm F5.6 lens to increase brightness with the 350mm F4 and even increase the length of the telephoto with the 800mm F9.6 by using the TX07 or TX17 optimal mount adapters. Achieve focal lengths up to 1000mm-3000mm by attaching the lens to a digital camera adapter and capture nature at a distance. The interchangeable mounting system allows the effective use of multiple cameras and comes with an easy-to-use dual focus. A long hood with an attached sighting device is provided as a standard accessory. The lightweight and compact design will withstand all elements with its dustproof and weatherproof structure. Indeed, the world is a big place, but that doesn't mean you can't take a good look at it. The next time you want to experience nature to the fullest make sure you are prepared to get up close and personal with the Prominar 500 mm F5.6FL Telephoto Lens/Scope by Kowa.Kowa Announces their Annual Sponsorship of PRBO Bird-A-Thon
Bird-a-Thon donations help PRBO reduce the negative impacts of environmental and land use change on birds and the ecosystemsKowa Optimed, Inc., is proud to announce their annual sponsorship of Point Reyes Bird Observatory (PRBO) Conservation Science’s Bird-A-Thon. If you've never heard of a Bird-A-Thon before, think of it as a spell-a-thon where you count birds instead of words. As a counter, you choose any 24-hour period from September 1 through October 15, 2010 to go birding and identify as many bird species as you can. To raise funds for PRBO’s award-winning conservation science and education programs, you ask friends, relatives and businesses to pledge a certain amount per species, or to make a flat donation to your Bird-A-Thon. It may seem a quirky way to raise funds, but during the past 32 years Bird-A-Thon has raised over $2.2 million to protect birds and their habitats. This years goal is to raise over $120,000. The Point Reyes Bird Observatory is a non-profit organization founded in 1965 as Point Reyes Bird Observatory to conduct bird ecology research, create management tools, lead field science training programs, and develop and deliver bird science education programs to advance biodiversity conservation. PRBO provides leadership in the development of many innovative conservation partnerships. Working in partnership with wildlife and habitat management agencies, industry, academic institutions, private landowners, fisheries and others, their award-winning science advances win-win solutions to today’s conservation challenges. Kowa has always been an advocate of environmentally safe practices. PRBO is taking great strides in their conservation efforts and we are just excited to be a part of it.” states Joshua Lazenby, Operations Manager of Kowa Optimed, Inc. Kowa, one of the leading global manufacturers of premium optics, is committed to conservation is by utilizing only Eco-Glass, an environmentally friendly glass that does not contain lead or other harmful substances, in all their lenses.
Kowa Introduces the New TSN-82SV Spotting Scope
The New Scope will continue to be the scope of choice for competitive shootersKowa Optimed, Inc, leading optics innovators, are proud to announce that they are enhancing the venerable TSN-821M spotting scope to the newly redesigned TSN-82SV at the 138th Annual NRA meeting in Phoenix, Arizona. The TSN-82SV maintains the TSN-821M’s world-class usability and quality for competitive shooters, with a sleeker and more compact size. The TSN-82SV features a large 82mm objective lens, enabling strong light capturing abilities and a bright field of view. This scope is engineered with a multi-coated optic system, delivering impressive image quality and clarity in low light situations. To ensure consistent and accurate performance, the TSN-82SV is constructed with a waterproof housing and is injected with nitrogen gas to help eliminate fog from forming on the lenses, making it capable of withstanding varying outdoor conditions. The new TSN-82SV offers four optional eyepieces: TE-9Z, TE-14WD, TE-9WD, and TE-17HD. The 21-63x TE-9Z zooming eyepiece lends a 1.8°- 0.95° real field of view (93 – 51 ft at 1000yds). There are also two wide-angle eyepieces available for the 82SV, with the 32x TE-14WD offering a 2.2° real field of view (114ft at 1000yds) and the 50x TE-9WD, offering a 1.3° real field of view (69ft at 1000yds). For those looking for a long eye relief eyepiece, the 27x TE-17HD is available, giving a 2.0° real field of view (105ft at 1000yds), with about 1.25in of eye relief. This makes the TSN-82SV the ideal optic for easily identifying wildlife and targets at long distances, without disturbing the field. The TSN-82SV has a MSRP of $805.00. “The waterproof and anti-fogging TSN-82SV will maintain the legendary TSN-821M’s performance and will remain the choice for competitive shooters around the world,” says Josh Lazenby of Kowa Optimed. “We are excited to continue Kowa’s tradition for the most technologically innovative advancements in sporting optics.” Kowa Makes Binoculars Even Smaller and Lighter The BD25-GR series from Kowa will make debut at SHOT in Las Vegas
